    1. "Animal Baths" goes through all different kinds of animals, from monkeys to giraffes, and shows how they take their baths and get clean. By the end of the book there is a child bathing and the author is incorporating each animal into bath time. This read can make bath time fun for younger children!

    2. This book would be perfect for a preschool story time and you could use it for soooo many themes! I especially like the helpful hints at the end, helping kids to remember how to wash and to be clean. This would work well with magnets or a felt board to go along with the story tellingd the kids could bring up the animals, which is a great way to get them involved.

    3. Three stars for beautiful collage work illustrations, but the text is awkward to read with too much focus on rhyming each couplet. I'd probably use this book with my own discussion of how animals clean themselves rather than read the text.

    4. Rhyming couplets tell us how all kinds of animals, from pigs to giraffes, wash themselves. Collage illustrations feature paper animals and stripy, ribbon backgrounds. This book would be awesome for a story time because of the rhyming text, bright pictures, and all the cool animals.

    5. Ever wondered how animals take baths? This engaging book tells how monkeys, elephants, ducks and other animals get clean. This book is appropriate for toddlers, preschoolers and early elementary school students. It could be a good choice for Joliet Reads preschoolers.

    6. The pictures are cute, but the rhymes are awkward and the vocabulary choices are odd. Despite the bright pictures and few words per page, I'm not sure how well this would work for a large group of toddlers. (It would probably work one-on-one or for pre-schoolers, but that's not my audience.)

    7. Another great book that my 22 month old loved. Really bright, colorful illustrations showing how different animal baths. Rhyming text match each picture--a sentence per full spread. A book that combine to great loves: bath time and animals.

    8. each part of the nighttime bath routine is chronicled with a different animal who takes their bath with that step for example ducks preening and pigs wallowing. Cute and I liked the end where all the steps were put together.

    9. Barner's cut paper, ribbon and pastel illustrations are cute as a bug in a rug. Each double page spread shows a different animal bathing. Great for toddler or preschool story time.

    10. Bit too cutesy for my taste, but if it were one of those plastic bathtub books it would be perfect.

    11. The ultimate book that share how other animals clean themselves. New words to increase your listener's vocabulary. Listeners can make animal noises as each new page is shown.

    12. Short on rhyming text, but rich in knowledge and vocabulary. Beautifully illustrated collages. Recommended 4-8 yrs. How do you get clean?

    13. Explores ways in which a variety of animals--such as mammals, insects, reptiles, and birds--stay clean, and includes information on morphology.

    14. A very cute story to read while your little one is in the tub. Bright colors will hold the child's interest.

    15. Simple, rhyming text introduces children to the different ways in which animals bathe. May work as a read aloud for storytimes.

    16. Good language and rhyming text. Simple pictures. Large print. Learn how animals take baths just like kids do.
