    1. The thrill of the chase is my number one fantasyloved how Hayden captured the excitement! Excellent, quick read :-)

    2. This was, for me, a lightning fast read of a short story that was worth the investment of time into it. It's familiar territory - a somewhat romantic vampire story with a twist at the end that I admit I didn't see coming. The writing is solid, as is the plotting. Sean Hayden's other work (that I've read, to date) is ORIGINS, a full length novel, and also deals with vampires and demons set in a world where those types of beings are commonplace, and this short story felt like it fits right in with [...]

    3. Is it possible to love a story, but hate the author for writing it? It ended too quickly. I want more of these characters!Sean Hayden has a flare for storytelling, and is able to capture the essence of his characters in only a few paragraphs. I loved the twist toward the end. This is an edgy, spicy and fun read!

    4. What the heck did I just read?! Haha. Great spin on the story but I wasn't that impressed. More like grossed out.

    5. Book Title: The Games We PlayAuthor: Sean HaydenPublisher: Untold PressASIN: B007B5X7BGReviewed by Michele Tater for The Couch Tater Review“Games lubricate the body and the mind.” ~Benjamin FranklinEver though this a rather short short story, it is filled with steamy and racy context. It is about two seeming strangers meet in a bar. One wants to play a game of cat and mouse. The other has no choice but to play. I didn’t find it too predictable--I did not see the end coming, I was pleasantl [...]

    6. Completely neutral. I have nothing to say about this book, which is not generally something you'd see in a review, but there it is. It was fine, well written, and short. It's something to read to pad your books for the year if you're behind on your Challenge; it just went by too quickly for me to feel any emotional attachment at all.It doesn't seem to be the introduction to a longer story, so it doesn't even have that going for it, but there's nothing negative to give it less than three.

    7. Meh. It was okay. Short story. Unexpected twist. I could see the possibilities of what it could've been as a full novel. The characters could've been great at full length. As it stands though, as a short story, it was just satisfactory. Well written though.

    8. Vampires and sex, two things I don't look for in books all smashed into one quick story. Bleh. I could have gone without. Not that I'm saying it was bad, no, it was well written, just nothing that excited me in a "give me more" way.

    9. I LOVE vampire books so when this started out, I was really into it turned out to be a short romance tho I felt like I wasted my time :( Only good thing I can say is at least it was a freebie

    10. I loved this short story! A predatory vampire who likes to play with his food offers a woman a head start. I loved this story! Short, sexy, fun, and interesting, great author.
