    1. I read only the 20th century parts of this as they were what related to the time Beatrix was alive. When I'm a little less busy I definitely want to go back and read the rest as well. This was a very interesting overview of the theatre. Not only did it include the plays and companies of the time like most theatre histories but it also included a lot of social history as well such as who was attending plays, and put everything in context.
