    1. 5 Rare Stars!!Perfectly perfect. For me, favorite Stereks always have to have certain criteria to get such a high rating. They have to capture Stiles as the genius, astute, sarcastic, silly, rambling guy who uses his wits as a weapon, as well as a defense mechanism to hide his fear and tender insecurity. They have to capture Derek’s man pain acutely, delving into all the tragic events he’s suffered, and why his guilt is an often impenetrable wall towards feeling, and ultimately living. Also t [...]

    2. I think I loved it more the second time. This is a timeless Sterek. One that can be read over and over and over.It is one of those rare fics where we get inside Derek's head. I think I forget. No, I don't forget how bad his life has been, I think I become complacent. Getting his POV puts it right in your face and man, it is so sad if you dwell on it. SO SAD.The entire story is just kind of beautiful. Just sitting back and watching these two build is an absolute thing of beauty and you should go [...]

    3. Canon Compliant through 3B, Derek's POV. Derek leaves Beacon Hills and settles in a sleepy, ocean side town, where he focuses on his mental healing and inadvertently befriends a few of the elderly locals. Stiles remains in Beacon Hills and struggles with Post-Nogitsune PTSD. Once Derek is healing in his new town, he is called upon to help Stiles heal as well. Friendship, romance, love ensues and blooms. This felt like a cross between Seeing Wolves by MellytheHun and Not Quite Lost (Not Quite Fou [...]

    4. STEREK ocean setting, a little therapy, elderly kick-arse librarian. Loved this on first read, no idea why it's not marked as read but just re-read and loved it all over again. Highly recommend.

    5. Beautifully written, slow-burn Sterek. It seems ironic given the forty gazillion Stereks that have been written, but far more than most fics this felt like a genuine love story: a story about two people discovering they are in love. But crucially, the author makes clear in a way I found deeply honest that before Derek can love he has to heal. I really admired the way the author depicted therapy here. The show itself depressingly exploits every horror-movie cliche in its depiction of the mental h [...]

    6. Reread 3/19/2017, 5/22/2017Reread 1/18/2018 I love this story. every time I read this, I get “Business Time” stuck in my head.---Original review 11/3/2016---buddy read with Jen, Meags, and R. This is going to be good.I love this story. I love to watch both boys grow. This a really good slow burn.

    7. 5 StarsThis is easily one of my favourite fanfics. In fact, this may just be my favourite Sterek story to date! That’s a big deal, guys. Like, HUGE! In this canon divergent story, told solely through Derek’s POV, we see Derek leaving Beacon Hills once and for all after reaching his limit of all things crazy and supernatural. After months of wandering up and down the West Coast, he ends up settling down in a small coastal town, where he slowly starts to overcome the traumas of his past. He pu [...]

    8. 4 Stars!I reallly enjoyed it!You don't see the side of Derek being a baddass wolf. Instead, it's his fragile nature that shows, it's more intense, he's more human, and it's still right. The telling of memories and emotions from the past are seamlessly blended with Derek's POV and what's going on in the present. It doesn't feel complicated, it's a smooth read. Stiles is, as he should be, hillarious and so very cute. Now, let's talk "slow burn". It took a while for their feelings for each other to b [...]

    9. Stiles's portrayal didn't completely convince me, and the conversations he and Derek had about sex were just plain awkward and uncomfortable (although they were supposed to be, I guess, so that's unsurprising. Doesn't mean I have to enjoy it though). However: Derek's personal growth in this fic is stunning. And stunningly rendered. It rings so true, and it is so delicately handled, it made my heart clench. For like, 180 pages straight. And a solid 70% of this fic is centered around that, so that' [...]

    10. This was a rather slow read.(view spoiler)[Don't get me wrong, I am all for finding peace and coming to terms with your inner demons. At the end of a long road of perils and surprises. But the pace was so different here from the other stories I've read of this pair, so sedate and normal. It got a bit boring. There was just so much I could read about Derek adjusting to life in a small town, becoming friends and helping the local librarian and going twice a week to therapy. Maybe I am too fixated [...]

    11. A really nice and realistic story where Derek gets some help for the shit he's been through. The healing is wonderful and the slow burn friends to more was perfect.

    12. Perfect Sterek! We have magical, sassy Stiles and broody, self hating Derek. I wish TW would have delved into Derek's past and feelings more. I like the stories where we get to know Derek. Where we see his feeling start to shine and his feeling for Stiles are unstoppable. The rest of the gang helping and caring for each other plus add some old people and you have a heartwarming Sterek. This will be added to my list of Sterek I will reread every year.

    13. It started fine but then. Well, it didn't work for me. It's just so disconnected, maybe? I mean I get doing therapy and changing and yes, it's hard and tedious. But. It did not connect.(Seeing wolves (where there are none) is a way better portrayal of Derek-goes-2-therapy, imo) It felt largely OOC. Especially Derek. I just can't picture him going all blushing-virgin. Being uncomfortable and squirmy and a little a lot panicky and terrified - hell yeah. But the way he's written here? Nope, not see [...]
