    1. HeartbreakerFirst book of Alexandra Connor I have read but will definitely read some more of hers a fantastic story poor Adele she had hard times but eventually got through them it's a must read for everyone and it's 5 stars definitely

    3. Adele Ford is a strong willed young girl and after losing her parents she and her older sister Julia have to make a life for themselves. As adele grows up throughout the book she becomes more and more independent, I liked her friendship with Rebecca it was nice to read. Her relationship with her sister that wasn't very close anyway starts to fizzle out. She meets Turner who becomes a good friend and introduces her to Col whom she eventually marries but it is a marriage doomed to fail due to Col' [...]


    4. I read this book for an English course and at first I wasn't really convinced about this story. However, after a few chapter, I found myself interested in the events. The novel covers a long period of time, from the main character's difficult childhood to her adult life, through the difficult hystorical period after the First World War. I had some problems to understand the connection between the story and the title, because the Laydgate Widow has actually a crucial role but the reader understan [...]



    5. AMAZING!This book is so so so good. Loved every second of it and was really sad to have reached the end so soon. A book I'll definitely end up reading again and again!
